Richie is a Rugby World Cup 7s winner with Wales, winning the tournament in Dubai in 2009. He has played over 30 HSBC World Series tournaments, captaining the side on a number of times. Recently retired from International 7s, he is now coaching at Llandovery College. Richie is one of the UR7s Head Coaches.
Will has played for England 7s across the world before having to retire from the game of rugby whilst playing in the Premiership for London Wasps. Will is considered a top 7s coach and has worked with some of the best 7s minds' in the world. Will is one of the UR7s Head Coaches
Chris Cracknell is one of the most powerful rugby 7s players in the world, playing for England 7s' he has won tournaments in Dubai, Wellington and London to name but a few of the World Series triumphs. Chris has also played in the Premiership and is one of the UR7s Guest Coaches, coaching specialist sessions across all our UK Academies
Hunty retired from England 7s following the 11/12 season but is still playing the game at Invitational level whilst teaching in the west of England. He played across the world with his international career spanning 1999-2012, Simon is one of the UR7s Guest Coaches
Sam is part of the Wales 7s squad and has played for the British University 7s team at the World Games. Sam is one of the guest coaches at the Academy, giving students an insight into the coaching at the highest level of the game using his own experiences with Rugby World Cup 7s winning coach Paul John
Tom Burwell has been coaching rugby 7s all over the world for over a decade taking sides to tournaments such as New York, Stockholm, Nancy, Hong Kong & Dubai. Tom has developed the Academy program alongside of the best coaches in the world whilst continuing to travel the world and learn more about the game as both Academy Director and CEO of Ultimate Rugby Sevens
Huw is Academy Manager and one of the Fitness Coaches. Helping students understand how to get the best out of their bodies and understand prep and recovery. Huw takes a role of coach at the majority of full Academies.
Rhodri was part of the Rugby World Cup 7s winning Wales squad in 2009 in Dubai along with fellow Academy coach Richie Pugh. Rhodri has also won the JP Morgan 7s with Gloucester and played in the inaugural World Club 7s at Twickenham in 2013.
Tom Mitchell is the current England 7s captain. Educated at Oxford University, he entered the professional rugby game in the 'Old School' way by playing the Varsity Match. An inspiration to young players, 'Mitch' is excellent coach
Nick played for Wales 7s on the HSBC World Sevens Series before moving into coaching seriously. He is a current coach at the Cardiff Blues but Rugby 7s is his speciality. Nick works mainly with the Academies based in Wales
Jaike is a regular on the HSBC World Sevens Series for Spain but is based in the UK and a teacher at Hartpury College. Mixing excellent coaching skills with superb teaching. Jaike is one of the most popular coaches in the Academy
Barry is one the highest profile coaches in the Academy having taken the England Women 7s squad to the Rugby World Cup 7s in Moscow in 2013. Barry has won a number of tournament on Women's series and is now working Bath Rugby
Marcus is one of the best S&C coaches in the world. Based from his world famous strength facility in Dubai called InnerFight Marcus is the go to man for UR7s for all the Academy S&C programming.
Abi is the England Women 7s Captain and is one of the cornerstones of the women 7s game in England. With a background in teaching she is excellent and delivering from her own experiences at the International level
James is an experienced S&C coach who has worked with Wales, Team GB and a number of high profile private clients in professional sport in helping them build a foundation for success. He works with the young players in the National Academy
Ollie is a young up and coming coach still playing the game at Students level. Ollie has travelled with the Academy to the USA and Kenya as part of his development as a coach
Sam has played for England 7s since leaving school and is now using those experiences to coach alongside his playing career. Experienced in nutrition as well
