Fiji expected to be at full strength for Oceania Sevens on home soil this weekend

FIJI 7s coach Gareth Baber will be fielding his best team at the Oceania 7s this weekend.

Baber will be getting in big names including playmaker Jerry Tuwai, Apisai Domolailai, Vatemo Ravouvou, Mesulame Kunavula and Paula Dranisinukula.

Plucky halfback Seremaia Tuwai is expected to captain the side along with playmaker Vatemo Ravouvou while leading the charge in the forwards are Apisai Domolailai, Mesulame Kunavula with Isake Katonibau making a return after a successful Ratu Sukuna Bowl challenge.

Veteran utility back Amenoni Nasilasila is doubtful to make the squad after copping a red card against Australia during the Silicon Valley 7s tournament last Saturday. As defending champions, it’s likely that speedsters Banuve Tabakaucoro and Batinisavu Uluniyata would also get the nod.

He says that getting the new players into the Oktoberfest 7s, Central Coast and Silicon Valley 7s was to get them exposed and gain more game time.

Despite the results, Baber says they want to win the Oceania 7s this weekend.
